FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT
(Delivered on Opening Day.)

Good morning and welcome to the 50th Anniversary of the Charter of Southern Division. Last year at the beginning of a new millennium we looked to the future. Today, we look to our past and honor the founding fathers of the Southern and Delawanna Divisions. Although I don't know many of these honorees personally, I do know what they stood for; patience, diligence, and dedication to the boys and girls of the Divisions. I believe that if we follow the foundation that these people have set forth this Division will continue to flourish for a long time.
We must remember that this game of baseball is just that, a game, and that it is for our children.
At this time I would like to thank the outgoing Executive Board members for their dedication, leadership, and generous gift of time:
